In 2025, Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church celebrates fifty years at 1700 S Green Bay Road!

MPLC’s “unusually shaped building” was completed in the autumn of 1975, becoming the new center for worship and faith formation for the congregation of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church. In 2025, we give thanks for its role in launching missions and ministry in our community for the past fifty years.

Do you know how this round "spaceship church" came to be?

We're sharing insider stories, little-known background, retro photographs, and a tale of God's presence through the people of MPLC as they dreamed, built, and expanded the church building since the ground-breaking service in September 1974.
