Sharing the stories of MPLC folks who practice their faith in various ways

Each time I prepare for the baking .of communion bread I am reminded of the precious gift we receive. A circular loaf reminds me of the unending love and forgiveness each person who partakes of this gift receives.

I continue by cutting a cross in the top of each loaf to remind us that this is a gift for all from Christ for us. When the bread bakes the cross stands out.

Now in the church service, the bread will be consecrated and shared with all who gather together at the communion rail (as well as those receiving individual communion cup at their seats). All gather together with the understanding of God’s sacrifice of his Son for us and the reminder that He will always be with us and He will come again to take us Home. Amen.

Carol is one of a small group of folks who bake communion bread for worship about once every other month. If you'd like to help this way, please contact Becky Litwin in the church office.
